Title: Fusões e aquisições de empresas no Brasil
Abstract: This paper aims at establishing a methodology to compute and analyze the key variables of the main databases on mergers and acquisitions and comparing the relevant informations of each of them so that to obtain a proxy of the total value of acquisitions of companies and banks in Brazil from 1991 to 1999. It shows the sectorial distribution of M&A and how those processes occurred during the current decade. It also sets before some hypothesis on sectorial concentration of the Brazilian companies? acquisitions
