The first one is present the Informal Process concept; the second one is reinsert the concept of Informal Sector as one of the phenomena derived from the Informal Process. Finally, the third one is analyze the elements that define the levels of employment and income for the main worker?s categories revealed by the Informal Process: unregistered employees and independent workers. The economic and social development singular elements of the contemporary capitalism in the last 30 years, especially in the last decade (globalization), are the base to construct the concept of the Informal Process. The Informal Sector concept, otherwise, is established sustaining the characteristics and principles developed in the specialized literature during the 80?s. The results of this study point out the Informal Process as an useful analytical category in order to analyze the changes in the relations of production and in the modes of laboral insertion in the capitalism contemporary, as well as to understand new institutions requirements and their construction.
